Next we, are looking for 2 women and 1 man to join the cast of an original play, The Wish Maker, by award winning author Cynthia Joyce Clay. Rehearsals to begin May 9, opens June 9 and runs for 16 performances Thursdays through Sundays.
And then for you Shakespeare lovers, we are looking for cast members to join Vanessa Elise who will play the title role in Hamette. 12987 West Dixie Hwy, North Miami is the new location of Storycrafter Studio. We are asking the local theater community to help us by taking part in volunteer for space hours trade. That is, for every two hours a Miami (and Broward) theater artist helps us with our space, cleaning it, painting it, handy-maning it, loading in our stuff from storage, we’ll give you one free hour to use for your theatrical work, rehearsal, performance, etc. Email cynthiajclay@Comcast.net to tell Cynthia when you can come by. Afternoons are when you are most likely to find her at the space. These last two weekends of January are critical to us to get the place in order. Thank you so much!
Last night I finished a major overhaul of my Storycrafter Studio site. I am very pleased with how it looks. I had to do lots of of the html code myself. Is that time consuming.
I went to see the Citadel last week. The Citadel is Miami’s newest for-profit artists’ sanctuary. It is in Little Haiti, a block or so from the river from Miami Shores. Villain Theatre has a beautiful new theater on the second floor of the Citadel. Congratulations on your new space, Villain Theatre!
